MANILA, Philippines — Four drug suspects were arrested for possessing over P400,000 worth of crystal meth or “shabu” during a buy-bust operation in Makati City, the Southern Police District (SPD) said Friday.
In a report, the SPD said the Makati police conducted the operation that led to the arrest of suspects Freniel Escote, 32; Sylvia Docot, 48; Edgar Manansala, 39; and Jeffrey Lucion, 30.
The drug sting was conducted at about 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo.
According to SPD, the buy-bust was launched after the suspects sold one hot-sealed sachet of shabu to a police poseur buyer for P9,000.
Seized from them were 60 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P408,000.
