MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) said Friday that it extended P3 million worth of organic fertilizers, farm machinery, and equipment to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Sarangani province.
According to the DAR, farm-related needs are distributed under the Sustainable and Resilient Agrarian Reform Communities (SuRe ARC) Project.
It said this seeks to improve the lives of its beneficiaries by providing them with the necessary support to ensure continued farm operations.
DAR said that members of five ARB organizations were awarded this assistance — Salbuyan Organic Farmers Association (SALOFA), Lusaleta Irrigators Association, Inc., Upo Valley Farmers Association (UVFA), Inag Coffee Farmers Association, and Datal Batong Farmers Association (DBFA).
“We will double our effort to produce and supply high-quality products and make sure to take care of all the farm machinery and equipment that we receive. We will also apply the effectiveness of the training and seminars we received from DAR personnel,” they said.
