4 nabbed with gun, nearly P20,000 illegal drugs in Bicol
LEGAZPI CITY — Four people were arrested for possession of illegal drugs and a gun in separate operations in the Bicol region on Saturday, May 6.
Bicol police spokesperson Lt. Col. Maria Luisa Calubaquib said in a report that Meljohn Hisarza, 26, a construction worker, was arrested for selling a sachet of “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) Cabid-an, West District in Sorsogon City at around 1:20 p.m.
Calubaquib said a total of P1,224 worth of shabu was confiscated from the suspect.
In another operation in Nabua town in Camarines Sur, Jobert Dimaiwat, 31, was arrested at around 4 a.m. in Barangay La Purisima.
About two grams of shabu worth P13,600, a caliber .22 gun with two bullets, and three fired cartridges were recovered from the suspect.

Article continues after this advertisementIn Polangui town in Albay, brothers Jerome, 29, and Micheal Angelo Orbita, 34, were also arrested in Barangay Sugcad at around 1:30 p.m.
Calubaquib said that during this operation, a plastic sachet with suspected dried marijuana leaves weighing 40 grams worth P4,800 and a tube pipe were confiscated from the Orbita brothers.
All suspects will be facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the police said.
