TAGBILARAN CITY — Two schools in Bohol have produced two graduates who made it to the top 10 in two recent licensure examinations in the country.
Gerardson Lopez Nuñez of Buenavista Community College (BCC) in Buenavista town landed sixth in the April 2023 licensure examination for criminologists, rating 87.90 percent.
The BCC started in 2001 as an extension of the Central Visayas State College of Agriculture, Forestry and Technology (now the Bohol Island State University-Bilar Campus).
It became an independent college that the Buenavista local government has funded, maintained and operated.
Another top achiever came from Bohol Island State University (BISU)-Main campus.
John Ric Garcia Barrios landed in ninth place in the April 2023 Registered Master Electrician Licensure Examination with a percentage of 90 percent
Both Nuñez and Barrios will receive P50,000 from the provincial government of Bohol as cash incentives for Boholanos who make it to the top ten of professional licensure and the Bar examinations.
