MANILA, Philippines — A total of 3,339, or around 58 percent, of the 5,771 examinees, have passed the April 2023 Registered Electrical Engineering (REE) licensure examination, according to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
The PRC published on Thursday the results of the REE examination, which Christian Dave Lozano Guevarra from the Rizal Technological University dominated with a rating of 93.25.
Trailing behind in the roundup of highest-scoring REE test takers were:
- Troy Fellone Mazaredo from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sto. Tomas – 92.35
- Lance Patrick Cadiz Alarcon from the University of the Philippines – Los Baños – 92.1
- Bernard Vic Molina Senillo from the Technological University of the Philippines – Manila – 91.85
- Ryan Berador Escorpion from the Technological University of the Philippines – Manila – 91.80
- Mark Jayson Ilao Salud from the University of the Philippines – Los Baños – 91.05
- Kyle Bowen Abejar Arciaga from the University of Cebu – 90.40
- Mycel Cadapan Magdangal from the University of Batangas – 90.35
- Charles Vincent Soriano Arandia from the University of the Philippines – Diliman – 90.15
- Gerald Satumba Mendoza from the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation – Lucena – 90.15
- Joshua Artillaga Abenojar from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sto. Tomas – 90.10
The top-performing school for the REE licensure examination was Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sto. Tomas with a 100 percent passing rate, followed by the University of Batangas with 86.67 percent, Batangas State University – Alangilan with 82.9 percent, and Polytechnic University of the Philippines Main – Sta. Mesa with 80.29 percent.
986 new master electricians
Meanwhile, PRC said 986, or at least 42 percent, of the 2,336 takers passed the April 2023 Registered Master Electrician (RME) licensure examination.
Nelvin Dela Torre Galupo from the University of Eastern Philippines – Catarman and Kenneth Christian Tolentino Guiwo from the Isabela State University – Ilagan scored the highest in the RME examination – both with 95 percent.
Also among the best-performing RME test takers were:
- Kenneth Lovino Saldo from the University of Eastern Philippines – Catarman – 93.5
- Wowie Salvador Hayagan from the Southern Leyte State University – Sogod – 93
- Robin Ramos Pauig from the Isabela State University – Ilagan – 92.50
- Hannah Beatriz Moscare Sison from the University of Eastern Philippines – Catarman – 92
- Kimwell Perez Ballat from the Batangas State University – Alangilan – 91.5
- Markvin Clarion Lazarito from the Technological University of the Philippines – Visayas – 91.5
- Rey Mark Diestro Sumayop from the University of Eastern Philippines – Catarman – 91.5
- Jorge Toro Escondilla Jr. from the Palawan State University – Quezon – 91
- Dexter Quindo Reponte from the Negros Oriental State University – Bayawan – 91

- Jessica Hernandez Sapo from the Isabela State University – Ilagan – 89.5
There were no qualified schools that reached at least an 80 percent passing rate on the RME test.
The REE-RME licensure examinations, which were conducted on April 25 to 27, were administered in PRC testing centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, and Palawan.
