Boy dies after being hit by truck in Batangas

Sea travel for all small vessels in Batangas province is still suspended

LUCENA CITY — A 3-year-old boy died on Tuesday, May 2, after he was hit by a truck that was moving backward in San Jose town in Batangas province.

In a report Wednesday, May 3, Batangas police said the victim, who was not identified for being a minor, was playing around 5 p.m. inside a poultry farm in Barangay Sabang, when he was bumped and subsequently ran over by the left rear tire of a truck moving backward and driven by Gerry Babasa.

The boy died on the spot from fatal injuries. The incident was captured by a closed-circuit television camera.
