MANILA, Philippines — Authorities arrested two men in separate operations in Quezon City for allegedly molesting three minors.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified suspects Arturo Ambrosio, 62, and Vincent Madduma Hayo, 22, who were collared by its police personnel on May 1 in Barangay San Bartolome, Novaliches, and Barangay Matandang Balara, respectively.
According to QCPD, Ambrosio allegedly approached a 14-year-old girl and molested her in front of a sari-sari store along Yellow Bird St., Rainbow Homes, Barangay San Bartolome, on Monday afternoon. The victim reported this to her father, who immediately sought the assistance of the city operatives.
On the other hand, the second suspect was the complainants’ house helper for four years. Based on the report, Hayo allegedly molested an 8-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy while showing them pornographic videos on the first floor of their house.
Upon hearing this, the aunt and the mother of the victims reported Hayo to authorities on Monday evening, which led to his arrest.
Ambrosio and Hayo will be charged for lascivious conduct concerning Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
