MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair and warm weather will affect most parts of the country, while parts of Palawan and Mindanao may experience cloudy skies and scattered rains brought by the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), the state weather bureau said on Monday.

Based on the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) morning weather forecast, hot and humid weather is expected to prevail in most parts of Luzon and Visayas, particularly Metro Manila and Cebu. At the same time, ITCZ will bring rain in Palawan and Mindanao.

(The ITCZ will affect Palawan and Mindanao, so today, there will be a high chance of cloudy skies with scattered showers, thunder, and lightning.)

(On the other hand, the rest of our country, including Manila and Cebu and other parts of Luzon and Visayas, will continue to experience hot and humid weather.)

Meanwhile, Badrina said no low-pressure area was spotted inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

He added that there is a low chance that a tropical cyclone will develop over the weekend, and no gale warning had been raised in the country’s coastal waters.
