The construction of Quezon Avenue and East Avenue Stations of the Metro Manila Subway project—which is targeted to be operational by 2028—is set to start next week, according to the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista, along with other government officials, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the P21.2-billion contract package 102 of the underground railway system on Friday.
The package which also includes the boring of the 3.16-kilometer tunnel linking the two stations was awarded to the joint venture of DM Consunji Inc. and Nishimatsu Construction Co. Ltd.
