More NCR roads to be repaired during Labor Day weekend, MMDA says
MANILA, Philippines — Several road portions within the National Capital Region will be under repair over the long weekend due to Labor Day, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said on Friday.
According to MMDA, the following road sections would be reblocked by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) starting Friday night, 11:00 p.m., up to 5:00 a.m. of May 2, Tuesday:
- C-5 Road (northbound lane), Caparas Street to C-5 Ortigas Flyover approach, Pasig City
- Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (Edsa) (southbound lane) below Ayala MRT-3 Station in front of SM Makati (rotomilling/ asphalt overlay), Makati City
- Edsa (northbound lane) near MRT-3 Buendia Station, Makati City
- Edsa (southbound lane) Panorama Building to opposite of SM North Annex (2nd lane from center island), Quezon City
- Edsa (southbound lane) Cloverleaf Interchange to Balintawak LRT-1 Station (3rd lane from sidewalk), Quezon City
- Luzon Avenue (northbound lane) before Congressional Avenue Extension (2nd lane from plant box), Quezon City
- Commonwealth Avenue (southbound lane) after riverside to opposite Sandiganbayan (2nd lane from center island), Quezon City
- Commonwealth Avenue (southbound lane) Zuzuaregui to Intramuros Village (5th lane from center island), Quezon City
- Edsa (northbound lane) Orense Street to Urdaneta Street (bike lane and 1st lane), Makati City
- Edsa (northbound lane) between Sgt. Mariano Street and M. dela Cruz Street (2nd lane from sidewalk), Pasay City
- McArthur Highway (southbound lane) K0010 + (-399) to K0010 + 025, Malabon City
- A. Bonifacio Avenue (southbound lane) corner Sgt. Rivera (3rd and 4th lane from sidewalk), Quezon City
C-5 Road along Doña Julia Vargas Avenue (westbound lane) near Valle Verde IV gate, along Doña Julia Vargas Avenue near Valle Verde V gate, along Pasig Boulevard (westbound) near Universal Robina Corporation, Pasig City
Edsa (southbound lane) from Kamuning Road to 3rd Road 1st lane (bike lane and travel lanes), Quezon City
“The DPWH will undertake reblocking and repairs, on the following roads starting 11 p.m. tonight, April 28 until 5 a.m. of May 2. Motorists are advised to take other routes,” MMDA said.

The above-stated road reblocking operations were an addition to previously-announced DPWH repairs, which only covered road sections in Quezon City.
