LEGAZPI CITY — Four suspected drug personalities were arrested in separate buy-bust operations on Thursday, April 27, in the Bicol region.
In Naga City in Camarines Sur, Ferdinand Ponte, 39, and Mark Joseph Oliva, 30, were arrested at 6:45 p.m. for selling a sachet of “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P500 in Barangay San Felipe.
The police recovered four more sachets of shabu from the suspects, Senior Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said in a report.
A total of 1.5 grams of shabu worth P10,200 were confiscated from the suspects.
In Legazpi City in Albay, Susan Borromeo, 54, was collared at 4:25 p.m. for selling a sachet of shabu worth P4,500 in Barangay Penaranda.
Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, reported that the authorities recovered eight more sachets of shabu during a body search on the suspect.
In Sorsogon City in Sorsogon province, Regie Groyon, 20, was also arrested around 12:30 p.m. for selling a sachet of shabu worth P1,000 in Barangay Sirangan, East District.
Shabu worth P2,040 was confiscated from Groyon, who was tagged as a newly identified drug personality.
They were in the custody of the police for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
