Marcos names new press, NTC officials
President Marcos has appointed three new officials to the Malacañang press office and the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
The President appointed lawyer Katrina Grace Ongoco as assistant secretary for special concerns of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
Ongoco replaced Joseph Lawrence Garcia as assistant secretary for special concerns.
Mr. Marcos also named former journalists Nelson de Guzman and Robertzon Ramirez.
De Guzman was a desk editor for the Philippine Star, while Ramirez also worked for the paper for eight years.
In February, the President reorganized the PCO, trimming down the number of undersecretaries from seven to five but increasing the number of assistant secretaries from eight to 14.
