Jim’s Coffee, Arbedomz pummel separate rivals in TBA Summer hoopfest
JIM’S Coffee drubbed the Warriors, 82-66 last Sunday for its 4th win in five games (4-1) while Arbedomz also crushed St. Therese Fighters, 74-57 to improve to 3-2 in Category C of the Talisay Basketball Association (TBA)-2012 summer basketball tournament at the Talisay Sports Complex.
The Coffeemakers jumped to a, 27-16 lead in the opening period and was never threatened the rest of the way.
Romy Ruales scored 20 points for Jim’s Coffee while Elias Belamide added 12 markers. Tony Malaga and Richard Belleza paced the Warriors with a combined 32-point output.
In the other game of the same category, Arbedomz also led from start to finish to post the 17-point victory.
Allan Gonzaga and Domy Cabigas led Arbedomz with 16 and 13 points, respectively, while Lito Utos paced St. Therese Fighters (1-4) with 15 markers.
In the Legend Category, Miami nipped Dallas, 67-62, to improve to 2-2 with Doming Gabisan scoring 20. Dallas was led by the 20-point effort of Dong Bitang.
