Organizers of 'Panaad sa Negros' announce winners of festival dance

BACOLOD CITY — The Kadalag-an Festival of Victorias City was declared champion of the “Panaad sa Negros” Best of Festival Dances competition at the Panaad Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan here on Tuesday night, April 18.

The Victorias performers, who were cheered on by Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez, won P100,000.

Rudy Reveche, cultural competitions chairman, said Tinabu-ay Festival of Murcia won first runner-up, while the Kansilay Festival of Silay City was adjudged second runner-up.

FEATURED STORIES

Pinta Flores of San Carlos City and Kisi-Kisi Festival of Ilog won third and fourth runner-ups respectively.

The first runner up won P75,000, second runner up – P50,000, third runner up – P30,000 and fourth runner up – P20,000.

The special award for best introduction video went to San Carlos City, which came with a prize of P20,000.
