Armed drug pusher held in Laguna

Police authorities have arrested one of Laguna's most wanted persons in the province following a manhunt operation over the weekend

LUCENA CITY — An armed alleged notorious drug pusher was arrested Wednesday in Santa Cruz town in Laguna province, police said.

Ronaldo Bagayawa was carrying an illegal caliber .38 revolver after being caught selling shabu (crystal meth) to a police agent in Barangay Duhat at 12:40 a.m., the Region 4A police said in a report.

Authorities seized the handgun loaded with three bullets and 10 sachets of meth worth P10,900 from the suspect, who was on the police list of street-level drug pushers in the locality.

The operatives also confiscated the mobile phone of the suspect which reportedly contained records of his transactions with clients and suppliers.

The suspect is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and illegal possession of a firearm.
