Road repairs set this weekend

Parts of Edsa and other busy thoroughfares will be closed to traffic from 10 p.m. today (Friday) until 4 a.m. on Monday to pave the way for road repairs.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) advised motorists to take alternate routes, saying it was taking advantage of the fair weather to complete its road maintenance projects in the National Capital Region before the opening of classes and the start of the rainy season.

The thoroughfares to be repaired are:

Aurora Boulevard (southbound) in Pasay City;

South Superhighway (southbound) from Zobel Roxas Street to Quirino Avenue;

Osmeña Avenue (northbound) from Zobel Roxas Street to Quirino Avenue;

Edsa (northbound and southbound) in Mandaluyong City;

C-5 Road (southbound) in Taguig City;

Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard in Sampaloc, Manila, from Sociego to Rotunda;

A. H. Lacson Street in Sampaloc, Manila, from Rotunda to Ma. Clara (both sides);

Nagtahan flyover Service Road from R. Magsaysay Boulevard to Ruiloba Street;

España Boulevard in Sampaloc, Manila, from Carola to Welcome Rotunda;

Pasong Tamo Avenue between Makati Diverson Channel and Edsa (center lane);

Daang Maharlika in Muntinlupa City;

Aurora Boulevard (eastbound) from Anonas to F. Castillo Street (outer lane);

Edsa, Quezon City (northbound) going to Cubao area, 2nd lane from sidewalk between Gates 3 and 2 of Camp Aguinaldo; Boni Serrano Avenue between 10th and 7th Avenue;

Boni Serrano Avenue, left lane from Edsa (between 1st West and Gate 3 and between Gate 3 and 1st Avenue); Araneta Avenue from Baloy to Landargun Streets (1st lane from sidewalk);

Fairview Avenue (northbound and southbound) second lane (from Fairlane to Camaro);

Mindanao Avenue (northbound) second lane (from Road 20 to MG Square);

Edsa, Quezon City (northbound), third lane (from Corregidor to Fema Road); Edsa, Quezon City

(southbound), third lane (from Bansalangin to West Avenue) and M. H. del Pilar Street in Malabon City.
