Angkas celebrates PH motorcycle community at MakinaMoto 2023

Angkas, the leading Filipino motorcycle ride-hailing platform, recently participated in the 2023 MakinaMoto event to showcase its support and commitment to the local motorcycle community. The event was held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City from April 14-16.

During the event, Angkas recognized its rider partners and groups that have played an essential role in elevating the status of the motorcycle industry in the Philippines. Angkas gave out five different awards, each honoring different aspects of the motorcycle community.

“Angkas is proud to recognize the achievements and contributions of our rider partners and groups. They are the backbone of our company and their hard work and dedication have helped us to elevate the motorcycle industry in the Philippines. We are honored to celebrate their successes and to continue our partnership with them in the future.” said Angkas CEO George Royeca.

FEATURED STORIES

The first award was the Angkas Barkada Pioneer Award, which recognized the pillars of the riding community who have contributed significantly to promoting safe riding and creating national organizations to unite the community. The awardees include Jobert Bolanos, Rodolfo Cruz, Atoy Sta Cruz, Rudy Brin, Robert Periilo, Felipe Rabulan, Shashi Naga Yu, Rolando BM De Mesa & Nick Fuentes, and Gen. Fernando Pace.

The second award, the Angkas Biker Vloggers 2023, recognized content creators who have significantly contributed to the motorcycle community by sharing their passion and safety towards motorcycle riding. The awardees include Reed Motovlog, Motodeck, JMAC Motovlog, Red Sweet Potato, Jeru Espinosa, Salvador Mayugba III, Archilles Moralles, and Norris John Vlog.

The third award, the Angkas MotorSports Racers 2023, recognized racers who have represented Angkas with passion, skill, and determination in the racing community. The awardees include EJ Sobretodo, Gerald Sobretodo, and the Angkas Hero Cup Winners.

The fourth award, the Angkas Malakas Partner 2023, recognized partners who have positively impacted the motorcycle industry and created a culture of inclusion and diversity. The awardees include Edwin Go and Roscoe Odullio.

Finally, the Angkas Supremo (El Presidente & El Kapitan) 2023 award recognized the leaders who have led their groups to perform at their best within the organization. The awardees include Art Aban Agsaoay, Allen De Guia Llevan, Yrreg Guerrero, Lemuel Sarsaba Clacio, and Ron Leonard Pascua Cabal.

Angkas hopes that these awards will inspire more individuals and groups in the motorcycle community to continue promoting safe and responsible riding practices and help elevate the motorcycle industry in the Philippines.
