MANILA, Philippines — It will be a hot and humid Monday in most parts of the country on Monday, according to the state weather bureau.
“Malaking bahagi ng ating bansa ay makararanas ng mainit na panahon pero possible pa din ang mga isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,” said Obet Badrina, weather specialist of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
(Most parts of the country will experience warm weather but isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are still possible.)
Badrina said the easterlies, or the warm winds from the Pacific Ocean will prevail and bring overcast skies and rain showers to parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.
“Sa kasalukuyan, easterlies ang siya hong nakakaapekto sa ating bansa. Makikita po ninyo ang mga kaulapan sa eastern section sa ating bansa, partikular sa Visayas at Mindanao. Ito po ay mga localized thunderstorms,” he added.
(The easterlies will prevail in the country. There will be cloud clusters in the eastern section in the country, particularly in the Visayas and Mindanao. These are localized thunderstorms.)
“Possible po hanggang Biyernes, malaking bahagi ng ating bansa ay makararanas po ng mainit na panahon,” Badrina added.
(It is possible that until Friday, most parts of the country will experience warm weather.)
Meanwhile, Pagasa did not raise gale warnings over any of the country’s seaboards.
