MANILA, Philippines — Partly cloudy to overcast skies with possible rain showers are expected throughout the country on Sunday due to the effects of easterlies, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Due to the influence of the easterlies, however, isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are still likely especially in the eastern and northern sections of Luzon.

Castañeda added that the same weather conditions will likewise prevail in the Visayas and Mindanao, with chances of severe thunderstorms also due to the easterlies

No low pressure is being monitored within the Philippine area of responsibility, added Pagasa.

Likewise, no gale warning is in effect nationwide, since only slight to moderate sea conditions are expected.
