Pagasa: Warm, partly cloudy weekend with possible rain showers

MANILA, Philippines — Warm weather due to the easterlies will prevail in many parts of the country on Saturday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). 

The low pressure that was once Tropical Depression Amang has dissipated on Friday night, the state weather bureau added.

“Sa kasalukuyan, ang umiiral sa ating bansa ay itong easterlies, o yung mainit at maalinsangan hangin na nagmumula sa Karagatang Pasipiko at siyang nag-aapekto sa may silangang bahagi ng Visayas at ng Mindanao,” said Pagasa weather forecaster Patrick Del Mundo.

(Currently, the easterlies, or the hot and dry wind from the Pacific Ocean, is prevailing over the country and will affect the eastern parts of Visayas and Mindanao.) 

Rain showers are also possible, however, due to localized thunderstorms. 

No gale warning was raised over any of the country’s seaboards.

  • Metro Manila: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Baguio City: 16 to 23 degrees Celsius
  • Laoag City:  26 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Tuguegarao: 25 to 34 degrees Celsius
  • Legazpi City: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Puerto Princesa City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Tagaytay: 22 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Kalayaan Islands: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Iloilo City: 24 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Cebu: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Tacloban City: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Cagayan De Oro City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Zamboanga City: 23 to 34 degrees Celsius
  • Davao City: 24 to 34 degrees Celsius
