MANILA, Philippines — The state weather bureau predicts favorable weather nationwide this Saturday with the low-pressure area (LPA), or what was once known as Tropical Depression Amang, shifting away from Philippine shores.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the LPA was at 195 kilometers west-northwest of Iba, Zambales, as of 3 p.m. on Friday.
The LPA is expected to bring overcast and showery weather over Zambales and Bataan, with a chance of thunder.

“Currently nasa West Philippine Sea na lamang itong low-pressure area, ngunit magdadala pa din ito ng mga pag-ulan lalong-lalo na sa mga lalawigan ng Zambales as well as Bataan,” weather specialist Rhea Torres said in a weather forecast.
(Currently, this LPA is in the West Philippine Sea, but it is still expected to bring rain, especially in the provinces of Zambales and Bataan.)
The rest of the country, however, may generally experience fair weather despite chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, she added.

“Sa nalalabing bahagi ng ating bansa – although may chance na makakaranas tayo ng pag-ulan dulot ng localized thunderstorms especially sa hapon o gabi – ay generally fair weather condition po tayo,” she added.
(For the rest of the country – although there are still chances of rains due to localized thunderstorms especially in the afternoon or night – we are expecting a generally fair weather condition.)
As most of the country is anticipated to have a fair weather situation this April 15, no gale warning was raised by Pagasa on any seaboards nationwide.
