MANILA, Philippines — The state weather bureau predicts favorable weather nationwide this Saturday with the low-pressure area (LPA), or what was once known as Tropical Depression Amang, shifting away from Philippine shores.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the LPA was at 195 kilometers west-northwest of Iba, Zambales, as of 3 p.m. on Friday.
