VIRAC, Catanduanes — Authorities seized P105,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) from a suspected drug personality in a buy-bust operation in Virac town in Catanduanes province on Thursday.

In a report, the Catanduanes Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said that Prince Joshua Sorrera, 24, was arrested after selling seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu wrapped in a bond paper worth P105,000 to an undercover agent in Barangay (village) San Roque at around noontime.

The confiscated sachets of shabu weighed an estimated 15 to 17 grams, according to the PDEA report.

Police and PDEA agents also seized from Sorrera the tricycle he used when arrested.

The suspect will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.  JONA MAE CAMACHO, CONTRIBUTOR
