MANILA, Philippines — The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) will use a new logo starting Thursday.
The PCO announced on Thursday its new logo which features the sun and stars in country’s flag, a plume and a lightning bolt.
“Simula ngayong araw, gagamitin na ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO) ang bago nitong opisyal na logo upang mas mabisa nitong maibahagi ang misyon bilang pangunahing ahensya ng ehekutibo sa paghahatid ng impormasyon sa publiko,” it said in a Facebook post.
(Starting today, the PCO will use a new official logo to further deliver our mission as the primary agency of the Executive branch in delivering information.)
“Makikita sa bagong PCO logo ang araw na matatagpuan din sa watawat ng bansa, tatlong bituin na sumisimbolo sa Luzon, Visayas at Mindanao, isang pluma na sumasagisag sa pagsulat at komunikasyon, at kidlat na tanda ng mabilis na pagpapadala ng balita,” it added.
(It can be seen in the new logo the sun in the Philippines’ flag as well as its three stars that represents Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, a plume that symbolizes writing and communication, and lightning that symbolizes the speed of delivering information.)
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. earlier ordered the reorganization of the PCO, consolidating its communications activities and ensuring efficient delivery of its services to the public.
