OLONGAPO CITY — A woman died while four others were injured in a collision between a sports utility vehicle (SUV) and a Victory Liner bus in Castillejos town in Zambales province on Wednesday.
Based on the initial investigation, the involved vehicles were traveling in opposite directions at 4:40 p.m. along the national highway in Barangay Del Pilar when the SUV encroached on the other lane, resulting in a head-on collision.
As a result, the driver of the SUV, identified as Dante Ramos, 66, sustained injuries while his granddaughter, Juliana Ramos, 21, died.
Three other passengers of the SUV also sustained injuries. They were brought to the nearest hospital for treatment.
