Camarines Norte suspends classes as TD Amang brings heavy rains
LEGAZPI CITY — Classes in all levels in Camarines Norte were suspended on Wednesday, April 12, as Tropical Depression “Amang” threatens to bring heavy rains to the province.
In a memorandum released at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, Governor Ricarte Padilla said classes in public and private schools were suspended due to threat of flooding and rain-induced landslides.
Earlier, the local government units of Catanduanes, Albay and Camarines Sur also ordered suspension of classes in all levels in both public and private schools.
In Naga City, only the classes in pre-school to senior high school were suspended.
Some towns also declared class suspension in pre-school to senior high schools in Sorsogon. Donsol Mayor Teodoro De Guzman ordered the suspension of classes in all levels as a precautionary measure.
