Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza celebrated her 63rd birthday with barangay captains as she turned over a two-storey building of the Association of Barangay Councils.
“With this building there’s no more reason for people not to be able to find you, especially ABC president (Pajo barangay captain Leo Mercado),” Radaza said.
She challenged them to “find ideas for the betterment” of the people.
The ABC building has quarters where visitors from island barangays can spend the night in case bad weather prevents them from crossing the sea.
Radaza said she can’t ask for anything more from God and that wished only for the health of her family and a peaceful and progressive city.
Her husband Rep. Arturo “Boy” Radaza later announced that generator sets would be distributed to island barangays of Caubian and Pangan-an.
A P1 million budget is ready for more generator sets for the whole barangay Caohagan, said the mayor. /Correspondent Fe Marie D. Dumaboc And Up Intern Caryl Baylon
