Another fire broke out in Taytay, Rizal, on Easter Sunday (April 9), the third blaze in two days.

LUCENA CITY – Another fire broke out in Taytay, Rizal, on Easter Sunday (April 9), the third blaze in two days.

The Regional Police 4A said the latest blaze erupted around 7:12 p.m. on the second floor of the house of one Mario Cayetano in Barangay Sta. Ana.

The three-minute fire partially gutted the first floor of the house. No one was hurt during the blaze.

The Taytay public information office said the fire affected two families composed of 13 people.

On April 8, the first fire broke out in Barangay San Juan at around 9:43 p.m. and was placed under control 19 minutes later.

The fire burned down at least 40 houses and rendered 60 families composed of 116 individuals homeless.

Another fire hit Barangay Dolores around 12:36 a.m. on Sunday and was put out at about 3:11 a.m.

At least 81 houses made from light materials were burned down. It affected 133 families or 554 people.

The fire caused unspecified injuries to four victims, but no fatalities were reported.

Investigations were ongoing to determine the cause of the fires. INQ
