LEGAZPI CITY – Authorities arrested two suspected drug personalities and recovered P33,500 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations on Good Friday, April 7, in Baao town in Camarines Sur province.
Colonel Julius Caesar Domingo, Camarines Sur police chief, said in a report that Jay Vargas, 22, was arrested after selling a sachet of shabu worth P500 in Barangay (village) Sagrada at around 6:45 p.m.
Authorities recovered a total of P1,500 worth of shabu from the suspect.
In a separate operation in the same village, Ryan Odavar, 33, was also arrested at around 4:15 p.m. A total of five grams of shabu worth P32,000 was confiscated from Odavar.
The suspects were facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002
