2 dead in Davao City power line on Good Friday

DAVAO CITY – A fallen power line resulted in the death of two individuals on Good Friday in Purok 15, Barangay Panacan, here, according to the Davao Light and Power Co. (DLPC).
The fatalities were on board a motorcycle when they accidentally stepped on the power line that resulted in their death.
DLPC said two other persons were injured and immediately brought to the Southern Philippines Medical Center.
“Davao Light is reaching out to the family members of the victims to provide them the immediate support they need during these lamentable times,” DLPC said.
The company said it has initiated “proactive measures to ensure safety.”
“The company is working closely with local government authorities to investigate the cause of this incident,” it added.
