Good Friday weather outlook: Hot, humid in most parts of PH

 MANILA, Philippines — Hot, humid weather is expected in most parts of the country on Good Friday, with possible isolated rain showers in some areas, according to the state weather bureau.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Benison Estareja said Luzon will see generally fair weather.

“Ngayong araw, asahan pa din ang fair weather condition for Southern Luzon, at sa may Northern and Central Luzon, mananatiling maaliwalas ang panahon sa maraming lugar at maulap lang na kalangitan sa Cagayan Valley and Aurora,” Estareja said.

(Today, we expect fair weather in Southern Luzon and Northern and Central Luzon, while fair weather is still expected in many areas, with overcast skies expected in Cagayan Valley and Aurora.)

Estareja said there is a high likelihood of overcast skies and rain showers in Eastern Visayas.

“Sa ating mga kababayan sa Visayas asahan pa din ang fair weather condition over the western and central portions, mainit pagsapit ng tanghali.  Sa ating mga kababayan sa Eastern Visayas, partly cloudy to cloudy skies for the next 24 hours at may tiyansa ng pag-ulan as early as this morning,” he said.

(Fair weather is forecast in the western and central portions of the Visayas, it will be hot in the afternoon, while in Eastern Visayas,  partly cloudy to cloudy skies for the next 24 hours is expected with possible rain showers as early as this morning.)

Estareja added that isolated rain showers are also expected in Dinagat Islands, Surigao provinces and most parts of the Caraga region, while fair weather is expected for the rest of Mindanao.

Pagasa did not raise a gale warning over any of the country’s seaboards.
