Free MRT-3 rides for military veterans on April 5 and 10-12

As the Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor) draws nearer, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Tuesday announced that it will offer free train rides in Metro Rail Transit Line 3 to military veterans and one companion.

MANILA, Philippines — As the Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor) draws nearer, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Tuesday announced that it would give free train rides on Metro Rail Transit Line 3 to military veterans and one companion.

In a statement, the DOTr said free train rides would be offered from April 5 (Holy Wednesday), and April 10 to 12.

“Pinahihintulutan din ang isang kasama kada beterano na makakuha ng libreng sakay,” said the DOTr.

The first trip of MRT-3 begins at North Avenue at 4:36 a.m. and at Taft Avenue at 5:18 a.m. The last trip is at 9:30 p.m. and 10:11 p.m. at North Avenue and Taft Avenue, respectively.

Meanwhile, the agency reminded the public that MRT-3 operations would be suspended from April 6 to 9 to give way to maintenance activities during the Holy Week.
