MANILA, Philippines — The Taguig City government has opened a public space called “The Life of Christ” or TLC Village where locals may reflect and pray this Holy Week.

On Holy Monday (April 3), the local government unveiled the square which is ready to accept visitors from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Easter Sunday (April 9).

A black interactive cross installation was likewise placed in the middle of TLC Village. Here, visitors may write their sins and confessions on paper and then nail them on the cross.

Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano said people should be grateful for the greatest sacrifice of Christ and be united in the observance of Holy Week regardless of their spiritual affiliations.

“I also encourage the younger generation to study and experience the Passion of the Christ, especially at this time, when our youth are going through so many trials,” she said in a statement.

For his part, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano told city dwellers to love God with all their hearts, spirits, and minds above everything and to love their neighbors as they love themselves.
