MANILA, Philippines — Warm, weekend weather is expected in Luzon and the Visayas while cloudy skies and rian showers are expected in Mindanao due to the easterlies, or warm winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean, the sate weather bureau said Saturday morning.

(Today, the effects of the easterlies will bring be generally warm weather, especially in Luzon and the Visayas. The easterlies will also bring rain over a large part of Mindanao and parts of the Visayas  this weekend.)

Isolated rain showers in other parts of the country are also possible, Pagasa added.
