Floating bag in waters off Olongapo City yields body of girl

OLONGAPO CITY — An unidentified girl was found dead and floating near a beach area in this city, authorities said Friday, March 31.
A fisherman found the girl’s body, which was between 5 and 7 years old, police said.

The initial report from police station 1 in this city said the body was found inside a traveling bag floating in the waters off Barangay Kalaklan.

The girl was also wrapped in a blanket, investigators said.
No other details were immediately available except that the girl was thin.
Police have called on residents in the area to report information that could lead to the identification of the victim and that would help in their investigation. INQ
