OLONGAPO CITY — A 52-year-old man in this city was killed by an unidentified assailant early Friday, March 31.

Captain George Molina, chief of police station 5, identified the victim as Rico Colico, a resident of Barangay Sta. Rita.

In a radio interview, Molina said the victim was in his parked tricycle and waiting for his wife when he was shot by the gunman along the Water Dam Road in nearby Barangay Gordon Heights around 5:45 a.m.

Molina said the couple was on their way to Subic town to buy fish that they would sell at the local market when the attack took place.

An initial investigation showed that the victim sustained two bullet wounds to his body and died on the spot.

Police have called on witnesses to help investigators identify the culprit and establish the motive behind the killing. INQ
