Village councilman gunned down in Bulacan

MARILAO, Bulacan — A 37-year-old village councilman in this town was killed by an unidentified lone gunman early Wednesday (March 29), police said.
Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan police director, identified the victim as Aldrin Santos of Barangay Poblacion 2.
Investigators said Santos was talking to his uncle in front of a driving school at Barangay Bagbaguin in Sta. Maria town around 7:30 a.m. when the assailant on board a motorcycle shot him repeatedly.
Santos worked at the driving school at the time of the killing, the police said.
The victim was taken to the Specialist Medical Center in Bocaue town but died while undergoing treatment.
Investigators have yet to determine the motive behind the killing.
