MANILA, Philippines — The chief of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Novaliches, Quezon City, has been suspended after an entrapment operation led by LTO Assistant Secretary Jay Art Tugade caught five suspected fixers outside the agency’s office.
Tugade did not identify the official involved, but said that the presence of fixers at the office showed “gross negligence on the part of the office chief.”
The suspension came after five alleged fixers were caught in the act of making transactions with agents who posed as applicants for student permits.
