MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested on Wednesday two “high-value” individuals and seized P240,000 worth of suspected marijuana in Caloocan City.

The Northern Police District (NPD) said that its police personnel received a phone call from a concerned citizen reporting the ongoing illegal drug trade activities of two men.

Upon receiving the call, the city’s Police Sub-Station 5 dispatched cops to verify the caller’s claim. The suspects tried to escape when authorities approached them, which resulted in their arrest early morning Wednesday along Intan Street, Barangay 153.
