Pagasa: Hot Monday nationwide

MANILA, Philippines — It will be another hot, sunny day in most parts of the country on Monday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

“Halos walang kaulapan dito sa ating Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) kaya po inaasahan pa rin natin sa malaking bahagi ng ating bansa, mainit na panahon pa rin ang mararanasan liban na lamang ho sa pulo-pulong pag-ulan dulot ng easterlies at mga localized thunderstorms, yung mga tinatawag natin na mga pulo-pulong pag-ulan o mga isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,” Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina said.

(There is almost no cloud clusters inside our Philippine area of responsibility so we are expecting hot weather in most parts country. Isolated rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the easterlies and localized thunderstorms may also be experienced.)

Badrina reminded the public to stay hydrated and avoid going outdoors at noontime when the heat is most intense,

“Nagpapayo po ‘yung Pagasa lagi ho tayo uminom ng tubig at iwasan ho nating lumabas ng ating mga tahanan lalo na bandang tanghali, ‘yan ho kasi ang katirikan ng araw at pinakamainit ho na temperatura sa isang araw,” he cautioned.

(Pagasa is advising the public to always stay hydrated, drink water and avoid the outdoors especially at noontime.)

No tropical cyclone, Badrina said, is expected to form or enter PAR this week.

Pagasa also did not raise any gale warning over the country’s seaboards.
