600 oil spill victims in Oriental Mindoro receive P3,000 cash aid

MANILA, Philippines — Financial assistance worth P3,000 has been distributed to 600 oil spill victims in Oriental Mindoro, according to the office of House Speaker Martin Romualdez on Sunday,

The handing out of the cash aid was done through a partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as well as the office of Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie.

The P3,000 aid came from the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program of the DSWD.

Apart from this aid, Romualdez’s office also gave the province’s first congressional district led by Rep. Arnan Panaligan a P500,000 calamity fund.

The distribution was attended by Panaligan and local officials led by Vice Mayor Marvin Rivera of Pola town.

It was held at the Pola auditorium. Other attendees included Councilors Agustin Rivas Jr., Rommel Bathan, Jerrymil Lincallo, and Wilson Soleto.
