3 drug suspects busted in Pampanga

An alleged member of the Abu Sayyaf Group was arrested in Quiapo, Manila

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region III (PDEA-3) and local police arrested three drug suspects in a  makeshift drug den in this city Saturday night.

In a statement Sunday,  PDEA-3 information officer Glen Guillermo said suspects, Ryan Yumul, 49; Richard Corpin, 33; and Dennis Yumul, 38, all residents of this city, also yielded an estimated P88,400 worth of shabu (crystal meth) after they were arrested in San Joaquin village at around 9 p.m.

The Yumuls are siblings, with Ryan said to be the owner of the drug den.

Guillermo said the makeshift drug den was discovered after the agency received an information from concerned citizens in the said village.

The drug den was a small concrete but unfinished house.

Aside from the shabu, likewise recovered from the suspects were assorted drug-using items and marked peso bills.

The suspects are facing a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
