MANILA, Philippines — Senator Robinhood Padilla announced on Saturday that he recently took his oath as an honorary member of the Philippine Military Academy’s (PMA) Bagong Anyo ng Buhay (Banyuhay) Class of 2002.
“Mistah, pagkaraan ng 40 taon, ang aking pangarap na maging isang PMAer ay naganap. Maraming salamat po sa Bagong Anyo ng Buhay Class 2002 ng PMA,” said Padilla in a statement.
(Mistah, after 40 years, my dream to become part of the PMA has come true. Thank you to the Bagong Anyo ng Buhay Class 2002 of the PMA.)
According to the senator, he is now a reserve officer of the Philippine Army, with the rank of Captain.
Apart from him, Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte and PLDT Executive Leo Gonzales also took their oath as honorary members at the Club Filipino in San Juan City on March 24.
“Ako po ay inyong inampon bilang inyong bagong BOK sa kapatiran ng Banyuhay na siyang naglalarawan sa Karangalan, Katarungan at Kagitingan, KKK – tatlong letrang pundasyon ng Kalayaan ng ating Inang Bayan,” he added.

Padilla also expressed his support for the Armed Forces of the Philippines “in fulfilling its duty to defend the country and the Filipino people.”
