Cebu City library to celebrate 93 years

THE Cebu City Public Library will celebrate  its 93rd founding anniversary on April 14 to April 30.

This year’s  celebration, dubbed “Pagbasa sa kabataan, binhi sa kauswagan” will promote  the love for books  and  reading among the youth and to arouse  public interest  on the public library’s resources and services.

The two-week long  activities will include storytelling and read-aloud sessions, book fair with games, photo exhibit and  screening of Cebuano short films.

Reading advocates like the Basadours, Zonta Club of Cebu II, Friends of the Library, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Cebu Daily News,  Cebu Homeschool Network, sineBuano and library volunteers are supporting the public library.

For every book purchased during the event, the buyer automatically contributes to the book collection campaign of the Cebu City Public Library. There will be a raffle draw and games for patrons.
