MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather is expected nationwide on Friday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said that the easterlies and the ridge of a high pressure area are expected to bring hot and humid weather to Luzon, with isolated rain showers expected in some areas.

Estareja said there is a high chance of rain in most parts of Visayas and Mindanao due to easterlies.

(The easterlies will still have an effect as early as this morning. There is a high chance of rain in Eastern Visayas, while in other parts of Visayas — in Aklan, Capiz, and eastern parts of Iloilo — there is still a chance of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms as well as in other areas.)
