MANILA, Philippines — Warm weather is expected nationwide on Thursday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa weather specialist Patrick del Mundo said the hot and humid weather is caused by two weather systems — the ridge of high pressure area in Northern and Central Luzon and the easterlies or the warm wind blowing from the Pacific Ocean.
(Due to the ridge of the high pressure area, there will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies over Northern and Central Luzon, warm weather is expected and with minimal chance of rain. In Southern Luzon and parts of Bicol region, it will also be hot and humid.)
(It will likewise be hot and humid in the Visayas and Mindanao.)
Pagasa did not raise a gale warnings over any of the country’s seaboards.
Del Mundo also said that no tropical cyclones are expected in and around the Philippine area of responsibility in the coming days.
