Woman drowns in Camarines Sur irrigation canal

LEGAZPI CITY — A 26-year-old woman drowned on Monday, March 20, at an irrigation canal in Lagonoy town in Camarines Sur province.

Master Sergeant Adrian Lirag, information officer of Lagonoy police, said in a report on Tuesday, March 21, that Grace Briones was found floating in Barangay Agpo at 4:20 p.m.

Initial investigation said the victim, who was last seen alive at 3 p.m., was believed to have been drunk and fell into the canal.
