3 nabbed in shabu-sniffing session in Batangas

LUCENA CITY – Three drug users were arrested by police operatives early Sunday, March 19, while engaged in a shiffing shabu (crystal meth) in Balayan town in Batangas province.

Batangas police in a report said a team of anti-illegal drugs operatives caught Edwin Macalalad, 43; Mark Bryan De Jesus, 32; and Felix Dela Cruz, 49, at around 2:20 a.m. while in the act of sniffing shabu in Barangay (village) Lanatan.

The lawmen seized drug-sniffing paraphernalia and two plastic sachets of meth, the volume and value were not specified in the report.

Meanwhile, in San Juan town, police reported the arrest of Adonis Abraham, 30, a local tourist guide, after he allegedly sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer at the town center on Saturday afternoon (March 18).

The volume and street value of the confiscated illegal drugs were also not specified in the report.

The four suspects were arrested and are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
