3 Chinese nationals arrested in Parañaque City for illegal detention

MANILA, Philippines — Authorities arrested three Chinese nationals for illegally detaining a male victim in Parañaque City, the Southern Police District (SPD) reported.

SPD said the suspects were arrested on Friday around 6:50 a.m. along C. Santos Street, Barangay Tambo.

They were all encoders by profession, identified as Zhao Yinggang, 37; Yan Chao, 28; and Jiang Yin, 28.

According to SPD, the rescue operation was conducted after 29-year-old Sun Shuangshuang reported the suspects at the Tambo substation for the alleged illegal detention of victim Li Hao, 28.

Appropriate complaints against the suspects are now being readied to be filed through inquest proceedings before the Office of the City Prosecutor in Parañaque City, the police said.
