SC increases Bar admission fee from P3,750 to P5,000
MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court (SC) has increased the Bar admission fee from P3,750 to P5,000.
In a notice dated March 14, 2023, the SC en banc said the increase shall “take effect upon the oathtaking and roll signing ceremonies for the successful 2022 Bar applicants.”
SC said the raise should cover the imminent surge in the operation costs, particularly the cost of the venue for the oathtaking and roll signing ceremonies and other logistical expenses, as well as the allowances of concerned personnel.
The SC added that the increase is also concomitant to the innovations implemented during the oathtaking and roll signing.
A total of 9,821 took the 2022 Bar examination conducted at 14 testing centers nationwide, while 9,000 completed the four-day examination last November.
